-> TIME <-

Time is one thing that is unpredictable at times. It’s the approach with which you see towards it. Sometimes we feel time passes by just like a blink of the eye. Sometimes we feel, its going on and on for ages.
            If we consider time in everyday life, it passes pretty quickly for us. Just 24 hours and a new day is already ahead of you. Time on Earth is very precious for us. But if time is seen outside the Earth, it is much slower than usual. Time in space is very very slow. It takes 8 minutes for light to reach us on Earth, from the Sun, even though light has the velocity of 3 x 108 m/s. Similarly, we will not be able to go out of our own solar system with the help of current technology due to the obstacles which include a human being’s lifespan, the distance that needs to be traveled, the speed required for the travel, etc.
            When we see the figures calculated by scientists about our own Earth’s age and about our universe’s age, one remarkable ans startling fact that comes out flashing is the fact that we are so much tiny in this infinity of space that we cannot even imagine what still remains to be seen behind the curtains of time. There is so much more still to be discovered, still to be understood.
            Time is like a folded scroll; the more you unfold it, the more it will show you the great wonders that yet seem invisible to us.
            Time in space is much different than it is on Earth. For instance, the light emitted from a fallen star or due to some activity in galaxies reaches us after a long time, i.e., much later than the incidence has taken place. It takes a long time for the light’s journey towards us. Thus even if we send radio signals in space and maybe receive a reply someday, we may not be able to tell whether those creatures still exist or not.
          With the development of science, in the coming years we will come across more celestial and terrestrial wonders. We will be able to find more about the concepts like travel in deep space, birth of the first stars and galaxies, maybe some life forms on other planets, some other solar systems which may be identical to us, time travel and many more. And the golden path of time will reveal these concepts. So till then it’s just a matter of TIME.

- आरसा -

- आरसा -
 ---------

FEAR

            What in life do you really fear of? Ask this question to uorself and we all will get many answers. We all fear of many things. We sometimes just don’t accept the fact that we are afraid of something or someone. Fear is just like the universe which is infinite. We are too small to reach out for its edges. We fing all kinds of fears just like we find different galaxies in this vast gallery of the universe.
            Some people fear of losing someone, the others, well they just fear of being with someone. Some are scared of the things like heights, darkness, water, etc. These fears sometimes conquer our minds and create tension and phobias amongst us. Some people hallucinate of having seen ghosts, devils, some people who are dead, etc. Scientists explain this by stating that a certain chemical in our brain is secreted more during such hallucinations which increase our imagination power tremendously. Hence we see such things.
            From the ancient past, the biggest fear of all has been darkness. People in the past believed that demons, monsters and ghosts walked the streets at night. This is why many of them even feared of the whistling wind at night. But this fear too has a reason. In the past, lights at night used to be very dim. Hence many were not even able to see what is outside or in the backyards of their houses. Also a lot of robberies and murders occurred at night. This explains why the ancient past was so haunting at night. But why do we, of the present “light age”, fear darkness? I guess we are so obsessed with the ancient legends of darkness that we too fear it.
            But what about the phenomena like spirits, angels, God. The more you think scientifically, the more you go away from them. Though almost all of us believe in spirits and God, science somewhere indirectly forces us not to believe in them because we don’t have any proof of them as existing. Maybe we lack the capacity to even understand them. Whatever science proves whenever we are afraid we always turn to somebody. For those who don’t have anyone, they turn to God.
            Fear, in all its forms, can be overcome by anyone. If one believes a little more in himself/herself, if one keeps the faith in oneself then they can get rid of it. After all it’s all IN THE MIND.

Poems

* Free Spirit *
  ~~~~~~~~~
A day will come to test your courage,
A strength that holds, a faith that prevails,
Remember the winds and snow passing by,
Will bring the ones you love by your side.
Remember your friends still wait for you,
To fly high in the sky chasing you by,
The storm will come the clouds will roar,
But remember that there is light at the end of the door,
Even this shall pass with a clear view open,
For you shall always remain,
A FREE SPIRIT that cannot be broken.
Actually I was partly also inspired to Write this after seeing the animated movie Spirit- Stallion of Cimmeron
-: A path to the Horizon :-
   ===================
One day begins the journey of the road,
Where will it go, nobody knows,
Will it go to the highway by the shore?
Or will it go to a village door?
“The trees stand tall by me”, says the road,
“Protecting me from the sun, rain and snow.
The stars, I see, when the night shows,
Thousands lighting the heavens like never seen before.
One day I’ll reach to you eventually,
Where the Earth and the heavens meet gradually”.
Written at the end of my graduation year.
/* Eternal Canvas*/
   -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Looking up at the sky tonight,
Thousands of lights, I see, so bright,
The canvas of darkness, the colours of stars,
Dipped in mystery lying so far,
A creation so vast and so deep,
Lying in the stretches of time,
An image of heaven painted in the skies,
And the strokes drawn so fine.
Time just stands still tonight,
The stars come to invite,
To unfold the many priceless sights,
That lay so far and wide.
The moon, I see, so white and bright,
It smiles on us all night,
Going behind the curtains all day,
Just to return again tonight.
From night to day and again to night,
I see the changing skies,
Only to come back again tomorrow,
To show their magic and their might.
A dedication to the heavens which I loved to gaze at every single time.
