FEAR

What in life do you really fear of? Ask this question to uorself and we all will get many answers. We all fear of many things. We sometimes just don’t accept the fact that we are afraid of something or someone. Fear is just like the universe which is infinite. We are too small to reach out for its edges. We fing all kinds of fears just like we find different galaxies in this vast gallery of the universe.
Some people fear of losing someone, the others, well they just fear of being with someone. Some are scared of the things like heights, darkness, water, etc. These fears sometimes conquer our minds and create tension and phobias amongst us. Some people hallucinate of having seen ghosts, devils, some people who are dead, etc. Scientists explain this by stating that a certain chemical in our brain is secreted more during such hallucinations which increase our imagination power tremendously. Hence we see such things.
From the ancient past, the biggest fear of all has been darkness. People in the past believed that demons, monsters and ghosts walked the streets at night. This is why many of them even feared of the whistling wind at night. But this fear too has a reason. In the past, lights at night used to be very dim. Hence many were not even able to see what is outside or in the backyards of their houses. Also a lot of robberies and murders occurred at night. This explains why the ancient past was so haunting at night. But why do we, of the present “light age”, fear darkness? I guess we are so obsessed with the ancient legends of darkness that we too fear it.
But what about the phenomena like spirits, angels, God. The more you think scientifically, the more you go away from them. Though almost all of us believe in spirits and God, science somewhere indirectly forces us not to believe in them because we don’t have any proof of them as existing. Maybe we lack the capacity to even understand them. Whatever science proves whenever we are afraid we always turn to somebody. For those who don’t have anyone, they turn to God.
Fear, in all its forms, can be overcome by anyone. If one believes a little more in himself/herself, if one keeps the faith in oneself then they can get rid of it. After all it’s all IN THE MIND.
